Helander opened the race with a throw of 73.80, but then made his throw go better. The last two throws carried 78.95 and 80.36.

– The first four throws were really careful. For the last two, I tried to run at a little harder and it helped a lot, Helander says in a SUL press release.

According to Helander, the body is in good condition and the exercises have gone well, so there should be more meters. The season continues in the Espoo GP competitions on June 8.

– The trainings have gone well and there are no injuries. I can throw just normally. The pace affects me very much in the throw and in those first throws it showed when they had that kind of retrieval or caution, Helander said.

– This will definitely improve the results as I get more races.

The number one name for the race was to be Johannes Vetterbut the German superstar was left out due to a hamstring injury.

In addition to Helander, the sprint also improved the season’s top results in Finland Milja Thuresonwho finished seventh at 200 meters with a time of 24.04.
