Concert with works by Mozart for the second time in Westende
Klassiek aan Zee is a classical open-air concert with work by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in a unique setting of dunes and sea. Artistic director Robert Groslot and casting director Aaron Wajnberg selected the best-known works from Mozart’s oeuvre. Sopranos Tineke Van Ingelgem, Morgane Heyse, baritone Danylo Matviienko and Kris Belligh are responsible for the vocals.
In addition to Groslot’s Great Globe Orchestra, the Waelrant Choir will make its debut, winners of the World Choir Games 2021. “The fact that a third of the tickets have already been sold proves the added value of this concert”, concludes Tom Dedecker, Alderman for Events and Tourism.

Mozart toured Europe as a teenager. He was known as one of the highest paid classical composers in the world. He died at the age of 35, leaving behind an oeuvre of about 600 works. “Mozart still has more than 6 million listeners per month – on Spotify -“, says Carl Huybrechts, presenter of Klassiek aan Zee.
The concert will take place on July 9 at 8 p.m., on the seawall in Westende-Bad on the Rotonde. Tickets are for sale online or at the tourist offices of Westende and Middelkerke.
