Lean living Eveliina Luhtakallio, 18, will celebrate his student party on June 4th. The day has been long awaited, as arrangements for the student party have already begun in December 2021.

– At least for myself, the student party is no ordinary party. They’re a really big deal, and that’s why I wanted to prepare as well as possible.

The preparations first began with a reflection on the color theme of the student party.

– The color theme was found in the Student Law, ie black, white and a little golden details.

Evelina’s mother was initially against the color theme, but eventually agreed with her daughter, and the same color theme will be maintained until the end.

Finding a dress took the most time

One of the most important things on a holiday is outfit. Evelina has purchased a dress, shoes, jewelry and a student hat for the holiday.

– Clothes are an important part of the holiday, because I will be in them all day. A lot of pictures are taken on student day, so that’s why outfit is an important thing.

– We have talked with friends a lot about clothes so that we don’t have to wear the same outfit, Eveliina says.

Evelina had the exact criteria for what kind of dress she wanted: the dress had to be well-fitting and the fabric had to feel strong.

It took a long time to find the dress.

Eveliina toured the shops in Vaasa and arranged six different dresses. However, the right one was not found among them. She then ordered three dresses, some of which she had to return. So Eveliina matched a total of nine dresses until she found her student dress.

Of course, Evelina’s dress suits the color theme, so it’s white. She has black pumps on her legs and has chosen gold earrings and a necklace for her jewelry.

He has spent about 170 euros on student day clothes.

It is important for Evelina that the outfit for the student day reflects her self. And he thinks he’s done well. Eveliina describes her style as minimalist.

“I will probably wake up at six in the morning”

Eveliina’s student day will start with enrollment. Evelina’s family friend will make her a hairstyle. She takes care of the make-up herself.

– I will probably wake up in the morning for six hours to excite everything, Eveliina thinks.

After enrollment, he goes to school for law enforcement and then moves from there to celebrate student day home with his loved ones. About 40-50 guests arrive to spend Evelina’s big day. Relatives and other relatives have been invited to the scene. The rest of the evening Eveliina spends a party with friends.

– I look forward to the day with good and excitement. The biggest stage is already behind us, so thankfully there is no more hard stress on it anymore.

Preparations take time

A recent student can’t say how much preparation has taken time.

– A lot, he sums up.

Already in December 2021, in addition to the color theme and outfit, it was considered what kind of food to be served to guests on that day. During the student day, guests are served salmon, salad, fillet, British cake, cream cake, chocolate cake, as well as biscuits and candy.

Evelina’s family has been making purchases for several months now, for example, large quantities of products from the offer have been purchased for the frost. All of these preparations have taken a long time.

– Even napkins suitable for the color theme were probably searched for in the store for two hours, Eveliina says with a laugh.

Although preparations have been under way for many months, there is still work to be done. Eveliina says that the family is going to make flower arrangements in the yard. The flowers have not yet been decided, but they are likely to be pink in color.

The house still needs to be cleaned before the holiday. Also served must be prepared the day before the party.

– Fortunately, my mother likes to cook and is still good at it, Eveliina says happily.

The festivities are reflected in department store sales

The spring graduation season is reflected in the sale of beauty products and clothing.
