Longer hold
“You are suspected of a serious criminal offense. The court has therefore decided that you will be detained longer. Society would be shocked if you were allowed to await your trial in freedom,” the judge said. On Monday, the case was not yet dealt with substantively, but the public prosecutor gave an update on the state of affairs in the investigation.

One stab
The Public Prosecution Service suspects the suspect of manslaughter. According to the judiciary, Guus Janssen was deliberately killed. That would have happened with one knife stab in his stomach, public prosecutor Mandana Kermani explains on Monday.

The Tienray suspect was not physically present on Monday, he followed the session from prison. Several relatives of Guus Janssen were in court.
