The Golden State Warriors basketball players are one win away from a spot in the NBA Grand Finals. The San Francisco squad also won its third best-of-seven series game against the Dallas Mavericks in the final in the west. Led by Stephen Curry (31 points, 11 assists) and Andrew Wiggins (27 points, 11 rebounds), the Warriors triumphed 109-100 in Dallas.
The six-time NBA champion had already won the first two games in front of his own audience with 112-87 and 126-117. The Warriors can qualify for the NBA Grand Finals on Tuesday evening, in which the champions of the West and East compete for the title. In the east, the Miami Heat leads the series against the Boston Celtics 2-1.
Although Luka Doncic collected 40 points for Dallas Mavericks and Spencer Dinwiddie was also on target with 26 points, the home team still had to lose out to the chastened Warriors. “This was a great team performance,” said 34-year-old Curry, who already won the championship with the California club in 2015, 2017 and 2018. “We know we’re not there yet, but it’s a good feeling that we have a margin. We’re going to try to finish it on Tuesday.”
