Wonderful draw for clumsy AFC, Royal HFC gets a new tick

In the second division, AFC has run into a very expensive loss of points. The team from Amsterdam had a comfortable 3-0 lead against ASWH, but still played a wonderful draw. Koninklijke HFC does not win for the fourth game in a row and loses 3-2 at home against Spakenburg.

ASWH – AFC

AFC had an excellent opening phase in Hendrik-Ido-Ambracht. Thanks to Guus van Weerdenburg and Raily Ignacio, the team of trainer Uli Landvreugd was already at 2-0 within fifteen minutes. Dalian Maatsen brought AFC 3-0 after 34 minutes and with that the game seemed over. ASWH did not give up and quickly made the 3-1 via Fabian Lauro Korporal. Shortly after the break, Sam van de Kreeke brought the tension back completely and Lester Pires neatly leveled the home team after 54 minutes: 3-3.

Due to the draw, ASWH remains in the battle for self-preservation. AFC has slipped to seventh place in the second division. With that, the season seems to be going out like a candle.

Royal HFC – Spakenburg

Koninklijke HFC is in a lesser phase of the season. The team of trainer Gertjan Tamerus seemed to be able to compete for the championship, but only scored one point in the last three games. The Haarlem team started well at Spakenburg thanks to a goal by Jacob Noordmans in the first fifteen minutes. Floris van der Linden and Sanny Monteiro gave Spakenburg the lead before half time.

At the Spanjaardslaan it eventually became 2-2 thanks to the equalizer by André Morgan. Robin Eindhoven hurt his old team by shooting Spakenburg to victory: 2-3. As a result, Koninklijke HFC remains in fourth place with 53 points, but thanks to the loss of HHC Hardenberg, it is still in second place.
