Europe should reduce its dependence on Russian gas supplies through the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, stated British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss on Twitter.
“Nordstream II is incompatible with the aggressive actions of Russia,” she explained.
Truss thus commented on the words of German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock, which she made during her visit to Moscow. The minister stated that the gas pipeline should not be used by Russia as a weapon. Burbock warned that if Moscow began to use Nord Stream 2 for its political purposes, then such actions would entail “relevant consequences, including in connection with this pipeline.”
