Fashion designer Bob Mackie, 88, criticizes Kim Kardashian, who wore Marilyn Monroe’s evening gown, to Entertainment Weekly. The man who designed the birthday dress described the reuse of the evening gown as a big mistake.

Bob Mackie designed the dress for the iconic Marilyn. Monroe was seen in the gorgeous evening gown of U.S. President John. F At Kennedy’s birthday party. At the event, Marilyn sang her famous and seductive congratulatory song to the president in 1962.

Now, 60 years later, media personality Kim Kardashian wore the same dress to the red carpet at the Met Gala. To fit the original dress, she says she has lost weight. The designer of the evening dress was not pleased with this.

“No one else should have worn this evening gown,” Bob Mackie commented sharply.

She criticized the use of the evening gown, as she had designed it only for Marilyn Monroe.

– Marilyn was a goddess. She was gorgeous. No one is like him, and the evening gown was made for him. It was designed for him, so no one else should have used it, the designer blurs.

Criticism from the fashion industry

Kim Kardashian wore Marilyn’s original dress only on the red carpet of the gala. He kept wearing it for a few minutes until he changed the famous evening gown to a copy of it.

– I respect this evening gown, and what it means for American history. I don’t want to hurt it in any way, Kardashian comments on social media.

She says she didn’t make up or ate the dress on. He had to learn to walk wearing a suit so as not to damage it.

Professor of Fashion History Justine De Young states to People magazine that Kardashian’s choice of residence was Irresponsible.

– He could have made a copy of the original. Such an iconic part of American history should not have ended up under such a high risk of damage because of images or reputation.

Kardashian himself justifies his tumultuous and controversial choice by saying he wanted to be as American as he could at the gala. She did so by wearing Marilyn Monroe’s famous evening gown.
