Serious allegations against darts star Gerwyn Price

At the weekend, the darts tour made a guest appearance in the Czech Republic. A dispute between the two ex-world champions Adrian Lewis and Gerwyn Price, in which violent words are said to have been spoken, caused a lot of trouble.

Huge excitement in the darts scene: in the game between Adrian Lewis and Gerwyn Price there was a scandal on Saturday evening.

What happened? After Lewis beat Price 6-3 in the second round of the Czech Darts Open, poison darts flew on stage. Instead of congratulating his opponent on their success, Price turned away from the crowd.

When Lewis then wanted to hug the Welshman, he didn’t react and even pushed his opponent away slightly. The two brawlers then exchanged a few words, Price apparently became abusive here.

Did Price call his opponent a “fat something”?

“I don’t know what he wanted in the end, but he approached me, called me a fat something,” Lewis accused the world number two after the match, adding: “Apparently he doesn’t realize I’m an athlete.” The situation on stage could only be calmed down by referee Russ Bray.

In the meantime, Price has commented on Instagram without directly addressing the Zoff with Lewis. “I learn every day and it makes me stronger, love you all and see you soon in London,” the 37-year-old simply wrote.

“Jackpot” Lewis succumbs to the “Dutch Destroyer”

In the coming weeks, the two darts stars should have the opportunity to settle their dispute. Both Price and Lewis have had a history of clashing with their opponents.

Incidentally, Lewis ended up in the round of 16 at the Czech Darts Open against Dutchman Vincent van der Voort. “Jackpot” was defeated by the “Dutch Destroyer” 3:6.
