Schmid reaches for victory on the European tour

Golf pro Matti Schmid reaches for his first victory on the European tour in Antwerp/Belgium.

After two of four rounds with 134 strokes, the 24-year-old is in first place together with the two Englishmen Sam Horsfield and Dale Whitnell.

After a 70 at the start, Schmid only needed 64 strokes for the 18 holes on the second round and stayed seven under par.

In Yannik Paul, a second German is among the top ten. The man from Viernheim shared sixth place with 136 strokes. The tournament is worth two million dollars.
