Maanesten – the Danish word for moonstone – works primarily with silver and gold, but also has a jewelry line with diamonds. The designs are based on “organic forms” such as shells, corals and stones. The beach and summer theme is regularly included in the collections. According to Maanesten, the jewelry is made in Jaipur, India.

Maanesten was founded in Denmark in 2021 by jewelry designer Lotte Callesen and creative director Henrik Callesen. Maanesten has since opened 13 of its own stores in Denmark, 11 in Norway and one in Sweden, and the label also works with more than 260 retailers in the three Scandinavian countries. The label plans to expand further in Germany and other countries.
