Is the power struggle escalating at Hertha BSC?
Investor Lars Windhorst (45) had called for the fall of club president Werner Gegenbauer (71) due to continued failure. In the meantime, two motions to vote out the Hertha boss have been made at the general meeting on May 29th.
Now rumors are piling up that Gegenbauer may resign early!
This could speak for: The club boss (in office for 14 years) would like to forestall a possible deselection.
This also speaks for itself: The committees in the club are at odds. Only the Presidium reacted to the Windhorst attacks with support for Gegenbauer. The board of directors remained silent…
Hertha BSC
The inspectors had asked Gegenbauer to speak to Windhorst because of the ongoing clinch with the investor. Windhorst rejected this club initiative. The fronts are hardened. A restart is in the offing.
