This is the goal of AIxGIRLSthe first Summer Tech Camp focused on Artificial Intelligence and Data Sciencededicated to 20 selected female students leaving the fourth grade, which will take place in Volterra, from 24 to 30 July, at the SIAF (International School of Higher Education), and will be completely free (registration closes on May 20, hurry up!).

During the week of the camp, girls will immerse themselves completely in the world of AI and Data science, through study courses and meetings with professionals. There will be workshops, lessons on robotics and AI, Deep learning, ESG Investing, Face Recognition, but there will also be in-depth studies on gender bias and the ethical and value aspects of the Tech revolution, such as the relationship between Philosophy, AI, Cybersecurity and Human Rights, ethical and legal aspects, sustainability and the UN 2030 Agenda. The students will be busy with group work, and the best work will be rewarded. Do not forget the necessary moments of leisure, such as the trip to Siena in the middle of the week. In short, commitment, yes, but it’s always summer. And the location, in the middle of the green, is beautiful.
“The absence of women from information systems is still too high,” says the creator Darya Majidi, CEO of Daxo Group and president ofWomen Association 4.0 which promoted the summer camp together with Fineco Asset Management. “We want to give female students the tools to have knowledge in the Stem field, and to be aware of empowerment. The selection of the participants will take place on the basis of the final grades of the third superior and the first quarter of the IV, in addition to participation in other Stem activities, summer camps, English courses. In addition, the motivation will be asked.
