You can ask all questions you have about skin cancer in Q&A on Tuesday evening

How often should you apply when you go out into the sun? Is it smart to go under the sunbed for your sun holiday? And how do you recognize skin cancer? With a spring and summer full of sun on the way, it’s good to know how to protect your skin. Dermatologist Sharon Dodemont of the Catharina Hospital will answer all your questions in a Q&A on the web, app and Facebook at half past six on Tuesday.

If you have any questions about skin cancer, you have the chance to ask an expert tonight. You can ask questions or send pictures of a spot on your skin to [email protected]

Note: When in doubt, it is advisable to contact your doctor to have a stain assessed. Judging a photo from a distance never gives 100% certainty. Certainly not with moles. Every question is answered by hospital staff, during or after the broadcast.

Do you send a photo? He must comply with this:

  • Send two photos: an overview photo (so that we know where the spot is) and a detail photo of the spot (in the latter case, keep the phone 10 to 20 centimeters from the spot on your skin).
  • Take your photo in daylight; definitely don’t use a flash.
  • Make sure the skin area is clearly visible (not covered by hair or clothing).
  • Keep the skin spot in the center of the photo.
  • Check if the photo is sharp.

The Q&A can be followed live via the channels of Omroep Brabant, but also via the social media platforms of the Catharina Hospital.
