A new pet shop has been opened in the Westward Passage in the Stadshart. Super handy because it hasn’t been available in our shopping center for years. The store is not completely unknown: we encountered Pets & Brands before in the De Leyens shopping center.

The interior of the former La Place building is still under construction, but the new store is already open to customers. Pets and Brands sells all kinds of food for dogs, cats, fish, rabbits, rodents and other critters. In addition to the physical store, you can also do your shopping in the webshop.

Recently there was a BOOS YouTube channel broadcast been on Pets & Brands. A number of employees had informed the program that they were experiencing problems with the payment of their salaries.
We contacted owner Pascal De Smaele of Pets & Brands about the current situation. According to him, a one-sided message is sent during the broadcast. “It is a pity that my partner has responded to the questions. I have not responded due to the privacy of my employees. It is a disagreement and we try to resolve everything as best we can. Incidentally, the problems do not concern the employees of the branch in Zoetermeer.”
