After 5 games the black-green striker returns to score, the French shines. Defrel and Henrique in decline
Waiting for Milan’s response to Inter (kick-off tonight at 20.45 against Verona) and the delicate Salernitana – Cagliari match that will decide the fate of the slums of the standings, Sassuolo impacted yesterday’s draw against Udinese in a very balanced race. A result, however positive, for the neroverdi who rise again after the bad backhand against Napoli last week.

Find the goal Gianluca Scamacca (vote 7 – 24 million). The striker breaks a five-game fast after only five minutes with the paw of the momentary 1-0 on an assist from Giacomo Raspadori (rating 6.5 – 23 million) who, with a fast serpentine, disorients Udinese’s half defense. The two forwards, much discussed after Maradona’s lackluster performance, respond in the present by chasing away the criticisms. The umpteenth superlative proof of Maxime Lopez (grade 7 – 18 million) is to be commended. The French metronome confirms himself as a player with undoubted qualities by orchestrating the maneuver of the Emilian club with personality and brilliance.

Who, however, disappoints is Matheus Henrique (rating 5.5 – 9 million). The Brazilian has a different pace than the rest of the black-green median resulting in an avulsed body. Purchased last summer with a very expensive operation, the footballer – so far – has not performed according to expectations showing little of the great potential he has, also due to a series of not indifferent problems. Finally, a very different performance was expected from Defrel (rating 5.5 – 13 million). Taking over from Scamacca, the Frenchman could take advantage of the spaces granted by Udinese to worry the Friulian defense but he was unable to affect the match, worsening, in fact, the contribution made up to that moment by the young Italian striker. Sassuolo responded to the criticisms received this week after the heavy backhand suffered by Napoli with a strong performance, especially in the first half. In the second half, Dionisi’s team underwent a comeback from Udinese which confirms, once again, one of the most difficult teams to face in the championship.
