The Gents Universiteitsmuseum (GUM) is scheduled for a day with a special announcement of the European Museum of the Year Awards 2022, which will be carried out in the National Museum of Estonia in Tartu. Thanks to four nominaties from België geen prijzen.
The price for the European Museum of the Year 2022 went to the Museum of the Mind in the Netherlands Haarlem. The price of the Raad van Europa went to the Nano Nagle Place in Ireland and the price of the name and of the local population was to be given to the museum of beauty and industry in Spanje. Ten slots from the University Museum of Bergen (Noorwegen) de Museumprijs voor Gastvrijheid en inclusie, terwijl de prijs voor duurzaam beheer to Holmegaard Værk in Denemarken.
Four Belgian museums were awarded an award: the museum of the Koninklijke Bibliotheek van België, the MigratieMuseumMigration in Molenbeek, the Museum L of the University of Louvain-la-Neuve and the Gents Universiteitsmuseum.
That GUM creates a special message. “Het GUM is a specific project from a high point of view of a museum of public concern for a specific topic that can be stimulated, a given name and a motivating task can be created for all purposes and the complexity of the specific subject of the Wetenschappel can be presented for a specific purpose and innovation. Het museum vertelt een manselijke verhaal op en hehe menselijke manner”, prees de jury.
The prices will be recognized in 1977 in het leven geroepen onder auspiciën van de Raad van Europa met as doel uitmuntendheid in de Europese museumwereld te. The award is not based on the quality of the potential of the collection, but on the average of the general conditions that the bezoekers encounter in the museum.
