SC Paderborn’s series holds against Sandhausen

SC Paderborn’s strong run lasted in the last home game of the second division season.

The East Westphalians deservedly defeated SV Sandhausen 2-0 (1-0) on Friday evening, and there was no hope of promotion before the sixth game in a row without a defeat.

In a duel in which both teams no longer pursued any great ambitions on matchday 33, Sandhausen, who were saved from relegation, were initially a little better – but Paderborn scored.

And how: Florent Muslija (27th) managed a fantastic right-footed shot from almost 30 meters into the corner in front of 7719 spectators.

Julian Justvan (38′) and Dennis Srbeny (43′) could have made it 2-0 before the break. That was done by Philipp Klement (60th), who flicked the ball past the wall into the goal from a free kick.

Sandhausen brought about hardly any dangerous actions.
