Three goals in a furious final phase of the first half
Jens Scheuer’s eleven dominated the game from the start. For a long time she couldn’t create very many big chances. The superiority paid off towards the end of the first half. Sydney Lohmann (38th) gave the Munich team the lead. Just three minutes later, Giulia Gwinn made it 2-0. The third goal within five minutes went to Sylwia Matysik. The Leverkusen player tried to clear a cross from Lea Schüller, but deflected it into her own goal.
Leverkusen fails because of a strong Bayern keeper
In the second half of the game, the Munich team largely limited themselves to controlling the game. Bayer Leverkusen still created numerous big chances after about an hour. They failed (70th and 77th) mainly because of the excellent parrying Munich goalkeeper Janina Leitzig.
