The Slovenian men’s hockey national team will rise to the top of the World Championships by spring 2023.

The Men’s 1A Division is underway in Slovenia. The host country defeated Hungary in second place in the fight on Friday night 5-1.

Slovenia have won all three games after knocking out Lithuania 4-2, Romania 9-1 and now Hungary 5-1. The home team is still playing against South Korea, but the rise has already been confirmed at this point.

Hungary is very likely to be the second runner, as it would have to face weak Romania in the final round to lose its place in the top two.

The Slovenian men’s national hockey team last played at the World Championship level in 2017. Hungary was the second candidate to rise in the main series in 2016.
