On Wednesday at 8 p.m., the Netherlands spent two minutes thinking about the victims of the Second World War and war situations and peace missions in the years that followed. King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima were traditionally present at the National Commemoration on Dam Square in Amsterdam. The bells rang on the Waalsdorpervlakte, among others.
