Amber Heard: A Personality Disorder Question?

In the spectacular trial marathon Heard against Depp (and vice versa), Amber Heard would have been heard on Tuesday (May 3) as the first witness on her own behalf. This was reported last week by the showbiz trade magazine “Deadline”. But now her team has apparently decided to make a remarkable change at short notice.

In such procedures, it is quite possible that the sequence of statements and expert opinions will be changed. In the previous days of the trial, “Team Depp” had succeeded in portraying Heard as an insecure cantonist who was struggling with her own problems. Johnny Depp’s nonchalantly humorous comments on various issues (e.g. the penis painted with blood…) did the rest. A Depp bodyguard even said that the “domestic violence” (also) came from her.

After research by “Deadline” Heard does not have a word for the time being, but the clinical and forensic psychologist Dr. DawnHughes. It can be assumed that “Team Heard” will respond to the statements made by psychologist Shannon Curry in a timely and professional manner. The curry ordered by “Team Depp” stated that Heard would suffer from “borderline and histrionic personality disorder”. The basis for this assessment is a one-day meeting between Heard and her at the end of last year.

Heard’s team, in turn, found that Curry’s borderline diagnosis would, oddly enough, match the wording of the audiotapes on which Depp accused his ex-wife of having a mental disorder.

Since court cases in the USA often have a spectacle character to impress the jury, “Team Heard” now prefers the “counter-psychologist” Hughes to the schedule. As an expert in the “treatment of victims of violence in couple relationships”, she will most likely dispute the expertise of her predecessor. Amber Heard can, in turn, count on a positive diagnosis for her mental state – this is then conveyed as plausibly as possible.

The process was originally scheduled for five weeks. Now the proceedings will be suspended for the next (and so far last) week because Judge Penny Azcarate has to attend a conference.
