Get your festival outfit out of the closet and get your sunglasses ready, because the brand new Zoetermeer festival Live at the Lake coming! On Friday 19 and Saturday 20 August, the Noord Aa will become one big party area, with food trucks and an amazing line-up.
The festival was conceived by three festival enthusiasts: Raymon Kuipers, Jesper Hogendoorn and Pier Nawijn. “All three of us are from Zoetermeer and although there are many fun things to do here, we missed a real summer festival. While the Noord Aa is a wonderful location for that,” says Raymon.
From DI-RECT to Snollebollekes
They have thought of everything. just the line up is to die for. On Friday you can enjoy performances by, among others, Van Dik Hout, songwriter and youtuber Emma Heesters (with band!) and Snollebollekes will be blown away.
On Saturday you can enjoy a performance by one of the best Dutch bands; STRAIGHT AWAY. You can also sing along with the cover band Funky Pianos and the group Soulbeach from The Hague. DJ duo Lucas & Steve close the weekend with a bang. Also very cool: on both days there is a silent disco island.

All the dancing and singing along of course takes energy. Fortunately, you can easily replenish them here, because there are all kinds of food trucks from catering entrepreneurs from Zoetermeer and the surrounding area. From a luxurious hamburger with fries to ice creams and cocktails: this will make you happy.
One of the coolest parties ever
According to Raymon, the idea for Live at the Lake originated in 2019. Actually, the festival would take place in 2020. Ticket sales had even started (those tickets are still valid), but corona threw a spanner in the works. “We are very happy that it will continue this year. My partner Jesper and I have been organizing parties and events for about twelve years, but this is going to be one of the coolest things we’ve ever organized!”
Many Zoetermeer residents are looking forward to this festival with them. “We notice this from the many positive reactions, but also from the ticket sales. It’s going very hard. So to people who are still in doubt, I say: don’t wait too long!”

There are two types of tickets: regular and VIP tickets. You will then receive access to the VIP deck for the best view, unlimited drinks (in addition to beer, wine and soft drinks, also mixed drinks), snacks, luxury sandwiches and in the evening access to a buffet.
