Frankfurt in Europa League: The appreciation for Europe

The impressive experiences from Barcelona’s magical victory night have not only burned in Frankfurt: 30,000 Eintracht fans in white shirts in the venerable Camp Nou – but these images will hardly be repeated in the London Stadium. According to the UEFA guidelines, the guest is only entitled to 3,000 tickets – and there shouldn’t be more German supporters in the stadium.

With their “Zero Tolerance Policy”, the English may even want to expel Eintracht fans outside the guest block from the stadium. “It’s the worst crap and I’m ashamed of it,” club president Peter Fischer complained in the “current sports studio”. He’s ashamed “that we’re already being threatened today: anyone we catch in the stadium who says they’re Eintracht, we’ll throw them out.”

Fischer is certain that there would definitely be more than 3,000 Frankfurters in London. From the past you know: “There were always 10,000, 15,000 people in the cities – that’s normal for us now.”
