On 14 July last year, at the start of the flood disaster in eastern Belgium, a strong increase in seismic tremors was observed in a monitoring station of the Royal Observatory in Membach (Liège). That’s according to a study on the use of seismometers and gravimeters in extreme precipitation events published today.
