Frenchman (36) arrested after showing surveillance images of cash transport robbery Amsterdam-North

The police arrested a Frenchman on April 19 who is suspected of involvement in the armed robbery in a warehouse on Meeuwenlaan in Noord. It concerns a 36-year-old man from Lille. The armed robbery preceded a wild west chase that ended in Broek in Waterland.

The suspect has been arrested after tips from television programs Investigation Requested and the Belgian farouk† AT5 also spent with Desk 020 attention to the matter.

The robbery took place in broad daylight on May 19. A van of valuable transport company Brinks arrived at Schöne Edelmetaal in Amsterdam-Noord. In total there was 67 million euros in gold and diamonds in the bus.

The robbers entered with balaclavas and Kalashnikovs. With the guns they kept people at a distance while the loot is being loaded. They eventually managed to take a loot of about 12 million euros in value.
