beabadoobee’s new album, titled BEATOPIA, will be out on July 15th via UK label Dirty-Hit. The first single “Talk” was released in March. Now follows the second with “See You Soon”. Hear it here in the stream, a music video will follow later in the week.
Bea Kristi, beabadoobee’s real name, was inspired to write the new song by taking so-called “magic mushrooms”. She says: “The play is about a very personal phase in my life in which I spent a lot of time with myself in order to realize many things”. “See You Soon” is one of her favorite songs. “It has an uplifting feel and shows a different side of what I do.”
beabadoobee released her debut album FAKE IT FLOWERS in 2020 and was able to place it in the top 10 of the British charts. Some may also know her from the feature “Death Bed (coffee for your head)” with Canadian rapper Powfu released in the same year. The track has around 491 million views on YouTube.
beabadoobee’s tour kicked off April 17 at the Coachella Festival. Then it’s off for them across North America. From October we will continue to Great Britain.
