Several people ended up in the water from a sloop on the Nieuwe Meer in Amsterdam on Saturday evening. Three of them were taken to hospital by ambulance, a spokesman for the fire service said.
It is unknown how they are doing. They may have hypothermia symptoms.
It is still unclear what exactly happened. According to the spokesman, four or five people were in the water. They were probably helped out of the water by others in the sloop.
No missing persons
The emergency services have come en masse to the incident, including divers. The fire service spokesman said no people were missing and everyone was out of the water.
The Nieuwe Meer is located southwest of Amsterdam.
