The price of an entrance ticket to amusement parks in and around Limburg has risen sharply since 2019. Relatively speaking, the Fairytale Forest in Valkenburg is even the national frontrunner.
This is evident from, among other things, a tour of RTL News† The news editors compared the entrance fees of more than 50 theme parks in 2019 and 2022.

Nowhere in the Netherlands has the price tag for an amusement park increased so much as at the Fairytale Forest in Valkenburg. In 2019 it still cost 46 euros for a family to visit the park. In 2022 you will pay 66.20 euros. That is almost 44 percent more.
The prices are based on an example family with two adults, a child of ten and a child of four. Parking costs are also included. Flexible prices and discount promotions are based on the cheapest options during the May holiday.
Highest price tag
The most expensive is a day to the popular Phantasialand in the German town of Brühl, which is popular with many Limburgers. There you pay 192 euros during the May holidays for two adults, two children and parking.

Price increases
You are not finished with that expenditure item, RTL Nieuws emphasizes: in addition to the entrance costs and a parking ticket, you will also pay more for petrol and snacks in 2022 than in 2019.
The amusement parks in and around Limburg are not the only ones who have jacked up the price. Parks such as the Efteling and Julianatoren have also become considerably more expensive compared to a few years ago.
