Young man injures two officers in Fléron shortly after he had a traffic accident | Inland

A man who had just been in a traffic accident injured two officers in Fléron. One of the officers was not on duty at the time. This was learned from the public prosecutor’s office in Liège.

The 22-year-old man had a traffic accident in the police zone of Fléron on Friday morning. No one else was involved. For reasons that are still unclear, he yelled at the people who were at the scene of the accident. An off-duty officer tried to intervene, but was hit by the driver.

The Fléron police arrived on the scene. The man then targeted the police officers and injured one of them in the shoulder. According to information from the public prosecutor, the agent would be incapacitated for work for several tens of days.

According to initial reports, the perpetrator would be under the influence of alcohol, but the public prosecutor has not yet confirmed that information on Friday.
