Documentary maker Monique Nolte (52) follows, just like in the first documentary, Kees and his parents and their dealings with autism. Momma’s sincere reactions endearing and he sometimes doesn’t mince his words. In the film from 2014, for example, during a car ride with his mother, he bursts out in a rant about ‘those bastards’ when they are overtaken by a car with a German number plate.
Videoland is fully committed to documentaries anyway. André Hazes and Akwasi both get their own series at the streaming service. The series about the much-discussed media personalities can still be seen this year, it was announced this afternoon during a presentation by Videoland.
“Two Dutch personalities who both know what it’s like to dominate the conversation of the day are André Hazes and Akwasi”, Videoland owner RTL reports about the choices for the main characters of the series. Both the founder of broadcaster Zwart and the folk singer have therefore been followed over the past year. “All sides of their journey of the past year, including their own voice and the counter-sound”, are discussed, RTL says about the series.
The series with Akwasi must appear before the summer, the series with André Hazes will follow later this year.
