“They’re just taking this seriously!”

Chantal Janzen and Martijn Krabbé were laughed at by the men of VI yesterday. They think their new TV show Blow Up is very ridiculous. “Jesus Christ!”

Now that The Voice of Holland has been taken off the tube, RTL 4 has given the duo Chantal Janzen and Martijn Krabbé another program for the same broadcast evening: Blow Up. In this new show, which will premiere on June 3rd, candidates build artworks with balloons. A kind of Lego Masters but with balloons.

blow

Wilfred Genee brought it up yesterday in Today Inside. “Can they call you for Blow Up?”, he asked René van der Gijp.

René then: “Blowing?”

Wilfred: “No, Blow Up. That will be a new program at RTL soon.”

Johan Derksen: “I didn’t get it.”

Jesus Christ

Wilfred: “It is a new program and then famous Dutch people will make creatures with balloons.”

René: “And who is going to present that?”

Wilfred: “Martijn Krabbé and Chantal Janzen.”

René: “Oh, so it is still taken seriously?”

Wilfred: “Yes, it will be Friday evening too!”

René: “Jesus Christ, yes.”

getting crazier

Wilfred thinks it’s really unbelievable. “Just balloons!”

Johan: “Yes, but commercial TV… It just keeps getting crazier.”

Wilfred to referee Bas Nijhuis: “Then you must be able to blow well, Bas. It’s something for you. Seriously, there have been people who have come up with this!”

Johan: “There are also serious people who have thought of what Talpa does [in De Alleskunner VIPS]† All those people in such a large factory hall. “How many clothespins can you put on your l*l?” I had 104.”

Regilio Tur

Perhaps the balloon program is something for Regilio Tuur, the men of VI suggest. After all, he really wants to go back on television.

VI then showed a fragment in which Regilio refuses to speak Dutch. “This is really an affectation”, says Johan.
