FKA Twigs’ album CAPRISONGS was released in January this year. Little by little, singer Tahliah Debrett Barnett, her real name, is now delivering music videos for the individual songs. The video for “oh my love” was released today (April 20).
Barnett presents himself in the video with probably the longest possible fingernails and in a white bathrobe. The clip also shows scenes of the singer getting her nails done in the beauty salon. The track’s lyrics are also displayed.
FKA Twigs has not been stingy with music videos in recent months: Official clips have been released for “Meta Angel”, “Papi Bones” and “Jealousy”. Barnett also co-released the track “Bliss” with Yung Lean, which appeared on his mixtape Stardust. Last week there was also the short film “Playscape”, in which Twigs not only starred but also directed. It was also recently announced that she will be starring in the upcoming remake of The Crow.
Barnett described the mixtape CAPRISONGS as “a journey back to myself through collaborations with amazing artists and friends.” It features Jorja Smith, Daniel Caesar and Shygirl, among others. There was also a collaboration with The Weeknd with “Tears In The Club”.
