Child center De Vuursteen in Wapserveen reached a milestone on Tuesday, because the school was able to welcome the hundredth student. Jolijn was the lucky one. She lives in Wapserveen and she turned 4 on April 17.
Jolijn already knows the school because the playgroup is located next to the kindergarten and there is a lot of collaboration. The children received an ice cream from the Parent Council and the teachers cake from the Foundation. Jolijn received a small gift, because 100 students had not been reached before.
KC de Vuursteen is a school where the well-being and involvement of the children are central. This fits in well with the principles of EGO education (Experience-Oriented Education).
Children come from all over the area to this school, where a beautiful, challenging green schoolyard and outdoor lessons are a permanent part of the educational offer.
The school also houses the toddler care and after-school care and now education even uses a room in the village hall. There is currently no question of shrinkage, they conclude in Wapserveen.
