Bayern Munich | Lewandowski: From this fee, a separation is “possible”

Despite all the statements, Robert Lewandowski’s future at Bayern is currently on shaky ground. The trade journal “kicker” has now even revealed a financial pain threshold from which Munich would probably let the world football player go.

In official statements, those responsible at FC Bayern Munich around President Herbert Hainer, sports boss Hasan Salihamidzic and CEO Oliver Kahn continue to use the language that the club would like to extend the cooperation with Robert Lewandowski beyond the current end of the contract in 2023. But there is obviously a lot going on behind the scenes.

According to information from “kicker”, FC Bayern may have already set a fee internally that would be necessary to free the 33-year-old in the summer. According to the report, this is “up from 40 million euros”, if a club is willing to pay this amount, a separation is “possible”.

Most recently, FC Barcelona in particular had been closely associated with Lewandowski. Polish media, in particular, rushed with reports.

There was talk of a fee of 50 to 60 million euros, a salary of allegedly 35 to 40 million euros per year was in the room, garnished with a multi-year contract. The striker is said to have already deposited the desire for change with the club superiors.

FC Bayern rejects Lewandowski’s wishes

How much truth there is in the rumors from Poland is difficult to say. However, it seems possible that Lewandowski could be tempted by the significantly higher salary Barca are said to be offering him, as well as the prospect of a pension contract. Because according to “kicker”, FC Bayern does not want to increase the attacker’s current salary.

Lewandowski should already collect up to 25 million euros. A limit has apparently been reached for the Munich team.

Lewandowski, who will be 34 in August, is also apparently calling for a contract in the negotiations that will be extended by more than two years beyond 2023. The club also rejects this according to “kicker” information. It is unclear what impact this will have on the Polish national player’s decision.

Bayern President Hainer recently said that Lewandowski’s future should not be drifted. A second interview is scheduled for the near future.
