celebritiesThe fingertip that Johnny Depp (58) lost in March 2015 in an argument with ex-wife Amber Heard (35), was found in the kitchen of the house by his cook. That’s what Depp’s doctor says in a Virginia court, in the case that the actor has brought against Heard for libel. Depp brought the case because of an article she wrote in 2018 about domestic violence.

At the time, the filming of the movie ‘Pirates of the Caribbean 5’ was temporarily shut down due to the incident, which took place at the house where Depp and Heard were staying in Australia. Depp claimed that Heard, who he divorced in 2017, threw a vodka bottle at him causing him to lose his fingertip. However, Heard said it was because the actor smashed his phone against the wall in a fit of rage. Depp’s doctor now states that he gave Depp emergency treatment at the time because of the injury to his finger. The chef then found the tip of Depp’s finger in the kitchen, the doctor describes. Heard was said to have looked “distressed” when he entered the house, but had no visible injuries.
Johnny Depp’s doctor also said that Heard never told him about violent situations. Otherwise he would have included this in her file, because the ‘Aquaman’ actress was also one of his patients. The doctor admitted that Heard was “sensitive to Depp’s behavior”. According to him, the actress grew up in an environment where drug use was not uncommon. As a result, she found it difficult to tolerate similar situations.
detox
On Monday, a new witness was also mentioned: Debbie Lloyd. The latter was one of Johnny Depp’s doctors in the past. Lloyd has dealt with the actor on several occasions. During her testimony, it was mainly about a ‘trip’ to the Bahamas in the summer of 2014. The American actor had booked a trip to the island to undergo a detox. At the time, Depp was addicted to opiates. In addition to various employees of the actor, Amber Heard was also present.

From some notes from Debbie Lloyd, it appears that Depp was clearly annoyed during this period. According to the doctor, he felt “frustrated”. One day, for example, the actor’s knuckles were open because he had smashed his fists against a whiteboard. Things also went wrong on set at the time. During the shooting of one of his films, Depp kicked in the door of his trailer. In addition, he “refused to have a conversation” with the director. “The patient was verbally aggressive to another person for no apparent reason,” Lloyd said. Amber Heard would also have gone into therapy in 2014. The exact reason for these sessions is unknown to the woman. She also stated that Depp’s relationship with Heard caused him “unwanted stress”.
Domestic violence
The case concerns an article from The Washington Post in which Heard writes that she has experienced domestic violence. She does not mention Depp’s name, but according to the actor it is clear that it is about him. So he sued her for libel. Last year, the exes also met in court in London. Depp then lost a case against the British tabloid The Sun about an article calling him a “woman abuser.” The judge ruled that there was no libel, because he felt that there was insufficient evidence that the actor had not mistreated his ex. Heard had been brought in as a witness for The Sun.
