In the playoff semi-finals of the German Ice Hockey League, there is a prestige duel: the defending champion from Berlin meets the Adler from Mannheim. The best-of-five series starts on Wednesday.
The Mannheimer Adler had won their quarterfinal series against the Straubing Tigers with 3:1 victories after the Berliners had already three wins against the Kölner Haie made the entry into the semi-finals for the German championship perfect.
The semi-final series begins on Wednesday (7.30 p.m. / MagentaSport) in Berlin. In the other semi-final, EHC Red Bull Munich and Grizzlys Wolfsburg face each other. Three wins are necessary to reach the playoff finals.
