Two tourists injured after stabbing in Amsterdam Red Light District

Two French tourists were injured last night in a stabbing on the Oudekerksplein in Amsterdam. Both victims sustained injuries to their hands, one of them was taken to hospital. No suspects have been arrested.

The incident took place just after 3 a.m. According to the police, it was busy on Oudekerksplein at the time and many people saw the stabbing take place. Two bystanders called police officers. By the time they arrived at the scene of the incident, the perpetrator had already disappeared.

It is unknown what led to the stabbing and what happened after that. The police are currently investigating this. It reads, among other things, camera images from the area to learn more about the incident.
