Berlin Uniteam secures World Cup place

In the end, it wasn’t enough for Berlin Phoenix to win the European University Championships. The Berlin students qualified as the second best European Rocket League team for the University World Cup in the USA in the summer.

The Berliners were consistently dominant throughout the tournament. The team ended the group phase undefeated with 9:0 and the Berliners remained knocked down until the semi-finals.

Only then did they lose against Portsmouth Paladins, against whom the Berliners then lost again in the final. Fourth in the tournament went to students from Karlsruhe. The KIT team also qualifies for the University World Cup because of its good performance. The fourth representative for Europe is the English university team from Keele.
