DEL playoffs: Munich and Mannheim in the semi-finals, Bremerhaven equalizes – DEL – ice hockey

Fischtown Pinguins – Grizzlies Wolfsburg 3-2, playoff score 2-2

the Fishtown penguins from Bremerhaven have the decider in the playoff quarterfinals against the grizzlies reached Wolfsburg. Mannheim outclassed the Straubing Tigers 8:3 (2:0, 3:1, 3:2) and, like Berlin and Munich, is in the last four. Tim Wohlgemuth and Matthis Plachta each scored twice for the Eagles. Nico Krämmer, Andrew Desjardins, David Wolf and Jason Bast were also able to add themselves to Mannheim’s list of goalscorers.

The Eagles were already 5-0 up when David Elsner was able to shorten the gap for Straubing. Only towards the end of the game with an 8:1 lead did Mannheim shift down a gear, the Tigers scored more goals through Mario Zimmermann and Travis St. Denis.
