The first edition of Paris-Roubaix for women was held in October last year. Van Vleuten then fell and suffered, among other things, a double pelvic fracture and a shoulder fracture. Ellen van Dijk was left with a concussion from a fall on the wet cobblestones. Van Vleuten skips Paris-Roubaix this year, Van Dijk will participate again.
The men will ride the ‘Hell of the North’ on Sunday.
