When Truus is asked what she thinks of the documentary, she does not ignore it. “I have trouble with certain scenes, but of course I have no input.” When the reporter asks her which scenes she is referring to, she remains secretive, but there is a good chance that she is referring to a fragment in which the two talk about Louis’s career.

For example, in the documentary it can be seen that Truus has bad memories of the time when her husband was national coach of the Dutch national team. While she wipes a tear from her eye, she says that she has kept everything in that time in a notebook. How her husband was ‘burnt down’ in the run-up to the 2004 World Cup is something she never wants to experience again. “Louis sleeps like a marmot, but that keeps me awake.” If it is up to her, he will therefore ‘never’ lead the Dutch national team. “Don’t let them call.”

The fact that Truus is not waiting for it is not only due to what Louis was experiencing at the time, his health also plays a major role in this. The documentary also shows that Louis has an aggressive form of prostate cancer. Partly for this reason, Truus preferred not to see him pick up his old duties again. “All that football.
