Payne had not made a will when he died, so his entire estate is expected to go to his son.
Bear will inherit a fortune of £21 million when he is older. It is believed that the property will be invested in a trust until he is an adult.
Bear’s mother is Payne’s ex-wife, singer Cheryl Tweedy. Tweedy and counsel have custody of documents related to Payne’s estate Richard Bray in possession.
The documents show that Payne’s fortune can be used to support Bear now, while the rest will be put into a fund until his 18th birthday.
Payne dated a social media influencer Kate Cassidy with at the time of his death. He may not get anything from Payne’s inheritance.
Payne died at the age of 31 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He died from multiple injuries caused by falling from a hotel balcony. Traces of alcohol, cocaine and antidepressants were found in Payne’s body.
Payne dated Tweely from 2016 to 2018, and the couple’s son Bear was born in 2017.
