5-year-old Jelte from Leeuwarden, who was the face of Serious Request two years ago, has died. His parents announced this on Tuesday via Instagram. The five-year-old boy suffered from metachromatic leukodystrophy (MLD), a rare and incurable disease that affects the nervous system and leads to rapid physical and mental decline.
