Bont did not have to think long about extending her contract in the fishing village. Bont: “Since I came back here, I am really enjoying myself. I feel at home at the club. And I see a lot of growth in the team. These are reasons why I would like to stay.”
Reinforcements
In the meantime, Volendam has not been sitting idle when it comes to the selection for next season that Bont will take under its wing. For example, Francis Portengen was taken over from the A-youth of the German Borussia Dortmund and Kyra Filemieg comes over from fellow provincial SEW.
“It’s just great that those girls are coming to Volendam. It is also very important that they come, because we want to make that step to the top four. We are all in a process and those girls are part of that. We are continuously looking at how who can make that leap to the top,” says Bont.
