The European Union is involved in the hunt for drug baron ‘Bolle Jos’ Leijdekkers from Breda. The issue is even on the agenda this week during an EU summit in Brussels.

Two men from Den Bosch have been sentenced to 502 days in prison for sexually abusing their foster sons and their dog. Steven van H. and Mattias T. (both 33) abused two boys aged 7 and 10 who stayed with them a few weekends a month.
The pair took photos and videos of the abuse and had 1,700 images of child pornography in their possession. The police tracked them down through a judicial officer from Doetinchem who himself owned more than 46,000 child pornography photos.

Carl Hoefkens appears to be possibly leaving NAC Breda, despite the fact that he indicated shortly after the relegation that he wanted to continue with the club. According to media in his home country, the Belgian trainer is in the interest of OH Leuven.

There is more sports news. The Dutch national team did not get further than a 2-2 draw during the first group match at the Football World Cup against Japan.
Breda’s Virgil van Dijk opened the scoring with a header in the 51st minute, and Crysencio Summerville seemed to give the Dutch team victory in the 64th minute. But Japan saved another point in the 88th minute. The Dutch team will play against Sweden on Saturday.

Finally. On Sunday evening, artists performed at an event in the Tuinzigt district of Breda, despite a ban from the mayor. About two hundred people were present when one or more artists performed from a small roof above the entrance of a house.
The municipality had imposed a preventive penalty of 25,000 euros on the organization because the performances did not fit within the permit. Organizer Christian de Leij emphasizes that the singers performed from a home and not on the site itself.
