The car that crashed into a bridge railing in Wijster on Saturday morning was driven by an underage boy from the municipality of Hoogeveen. A police spokesperson said this.
The driver was injured and taken to hospital by ambulance. According to the police, he is also suspected of driving under the influence and driving without a driver’s license.
There were four people in the car. The accident happened around 5.15 am on a bridge over the Linthorst Homankanaal on the Hamveld. The police investigation is still ongoing.
