It was already leaked on Sunday evening that FC Bayern and PSV Eindhoven had verbally agreed on a change for Moroccan World Cup participant Ismael Saibari. However, it was not yet known how high the transfer fee would be for the 25-year-old offensive man from the Atlas Lions. Now a media report shows that the sum is higher than previously assumed.

Transfer expert Santi Aouna first reported on Sunday on the short message service X that FC Bayern and PSV Eindhoven had reached a verbal agreement on the transfer of Ismael Saibari. Meanwhile, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano and “Bild” have also confirmed that the 25-year-old’s move to Säbener Straße is imminent. The transfer fee is now also known.

Most recently it was said that FC Bayern was prepared to put around 45 million euros plus five million euros in bonus payments on the table for the midfielder. French media reported on Thursday that the transfer was only dependent on a contractual clause. PSV Eindhoven had therefore demanded that they wanted the full 50 million euros for the top performer.

FC Bayern: Ismael Saibari becomes a record transfer

According to “Bild”, the offensive man is still a little more expensive. According to the tabloid’s information, the German soccer record champions are transferring almost 55 million euros, including bonus payments, to the Dutch industry leader – around five million euros more than previously assumed. Saibari replaces Hirving Lozano (2018/19 for SSC Napoli for 50 million euros) as the Eredivisie club’s record sale.

The deal is not official yet, as the World Cup driver still has to complete the mandatory medical check before signing the contract. This should take place overseas during the World Cup. FCB doctor Dr. Jochen Hahne, who also works as a doctor for the DFB selection, could therefore carry out the medical examination on the designated new signing.

The Saibari transfer is said to have been initiated at the explicit request of coach Vincent Kompany, Sky reported a few days ago. There is now much to suggest that the Belgian’s wish will be fulfilled.

Saibari already made a mark at the start of the World Cup: against Brazil he scored to give his colors the lead (21′). Real Madrid’s superstar Vinícius Júnior equalized with a dream goal (32nd).
