Basketball BKT European Cup announced the clubs that will compete in the 2026-27 season with its new expanded 32-team format. In the statement made by the organization, Bahçeşehir College, Beşiktaş GAİN and Türk Telekom from Türkiye will have a five-year license right, while TOFAŞ will have a one-year participation right.
It was stated that the 32 teams that will take part in the new season will be divided into four groups of eight teams and 16 teams will advance to the play-offs.
The statement also said, “The play-offs will consist of the eight-final, quarter-final, semi-final and final matches, and all matches will be played in three-game series.” It was said.
22 of the 31 announced teams were included in the organization with a long-term 5-year license right, while 9 teams gained a 1-year participation right.
The team that will be awarded the last Wild Card (special invitation) will be announced in the coming days.
