The only 34-year-old Dronten resident was trainer of PEC Zwolle Under 21 last season. He previously worked in Zwolle with the Under 18 and Under 17 and as a youth coach.
He was also a youth coach for the amateurs of ASV Dronten and head of the youth academy for five years. As a footballer, Braam played for years in the midfield of VVOG from Harderwijk and for ASV Dronten.
Departure of technical staff
Telstar saw its entire technical staff walk out the door this summer. Head coach Anthony Correia has left for FC Utrecht with his assistants Gertjan Tamerus and Robbert Michielsen. Goalkeeping coach Rick van der Mast chose NAC Breda. Mounir Azaoum is also leaving the club. It is not yet known where his future lies.
For Telstar, preparation for the new football season starts on Monday, June 22 on the Waterloo field. The only practice match known at the moment is Saturday, July 11 against Sparta Rotterdam.
